How to Choose a DC Power Supply

Seven checks take you from requirement to shortlist. Every step links to a live filter in the catalogue below — no guessing, and our engineers confirm the final configuration with you before ordering.

  1. Step 1 · Power demand

    Output Power

Estimate total power and leave margin. Options span 0–300 W mini units up to 10 kW+ systems.

    Browse 0–300 W →
  2. Step 2 · Voltage window

    Output Voltage

Cover the full DUT voltage window, from 0–15 V bench models up to 2000 V+ high-voltage units.

    Browse 0–15 V →
  3. Step 3 · Current demand

    Output Current

Size the current for load peaks and inrush — pair it with the power and voltage checks above.

Ask us to size it →
  4. Step 4 · Control mode

    Programmable CV / CC

Programmable models work in constant-voltage and constant-current mode with automatic CV/CC crossover; select models support SCPI over RS232/RS485/USB/LAN.

    Browse programmable →
  5. Step 5 · Remote control

    Communication Interface

Match your bench or system bus: RS232, RS485, USB, LAN or digital I/O, depending on the model.

    Browse LAN models →
  6. Step 6 · Mounting

    Form Factor

Bench-top minis for the lab desk; rack-mounted cabinets in 2U and 3U formats for racks and systems.

    Browse rack-mounted →
  7. Step 7 · Use case

    Application

Motor drive and EV testing, education and labs, production lines, batteries, telecom and R&D. Multi-channel models power several DUTs from one chassis.

    Browse multi-channel →
  8. Series shortcuts

Filter links open pre-filtered catalogue views; selections within a filter group are combined as OR, across groups as AND. Final specifications follow each product's datasheet.

FAQ summary Product FAQ

What product categories does eTOMMENS offer?

Two product lines. The core line is DC power supplies, in seven families: benchtop, programmable, linear, multi-channel, high power, auto-range and rack-mount. The complementary line is electronic loads. Stepper motor driver power supplies are offered as a specialised drive-power family. Power, voltage, current, interface, channel count and form factor are filters across these categories rather than categories of their own.

How many products can I browse here?

126 products in total, across seven DC power supply families plus electronic loads and stepper motor driver power supplies. Each category page lists its models with photos, and every product page includes specifications, features and application materials.

How does the attribute filter work?

Tick any combination of power range, voltage range, current range or interface and apply the filter — the product list updates instantly in your browser. Channel count and form factor are available under More Filters.
